An host of an Italian tv-show managed to trade hats with the pontiff as he rode around St. Peter's Square. He reached out towards Francis with a new skullcap. Security handed the skullcap to the pope, who stopped the car, examined it, put it on his head, and gave the old one back. Now he is selling it on Catawiki. Part of the proceeds of this lot will go to the charity Save a Child’s Heart.

''It was June 4, 2014 when, during the general audience in St Peter's square in Rome, my eyes crossed that of Francis. After exchanging glances, a gesture: my exchanges headdress with that of the Holy Father.  A simple gesture, but equivalent to the Christian religion to have received a pardon. The magnetic effect of the object owned and worn by the pope was immediate, so much so that the skullcap still bears today a slight sign of lipstick as a faithful, who wanted to kneel and kiss the Holy Father's headgear. 

The extraordinary, how very human, a gift from the pope, is documented and witnessed by a video which was narrated by the Italian media''.

Save a Child’s Heart (SACH) was founded by the late Dr. Ami Cohen to save as many children as possible with heart disease from developing countries, regardless of nationality, religion, race, gender or financial situation. SACH is based at the Wolfson Medical center in Holon, Israel. It treats children suffering from heart disease and creates centers of competence in these countries.To date, SACH has provided care to over 4,000 children from 50 countries in Africa, the Middle East, Asia, Europe and South America and trained more than 100 medical team members from those countries. 
For the vast majority of children, from the moment they comes into care until they are fully recovered, costs are covered by SACH and its partners, including medical, travel, and accommodation, even if the child requires a life-time of cardiac care. SACH doctors all volunteer their time to the organization. This means that the full cost of life-saving heart surgery trough SACH is only $15,000 per child.
