At Catawiki, we strive to maintain a safe and trusted marketplace for buying and selling special objects. While we have measures in place to proactively detect and remove illegal or prohibited objects, as well as objects that are not in line with our submission guidelines, we rely on our users to help flag anything concerning.
You can report objects you think shouldn’t be on Catawiki via the ‘Contact Us’ button below, or by sending an email to dsa [at] catawiki.com. Please provide as much detail as possible about the object in question and why you think it violates our policies, including a link to the page where the object is shown. You can report in any language in which the website is available. However, we encourage you to report in Dutch, English, French, Spanish, Italian or Portuguese when possible, in order to speed up our response. Our team will promptly review and take appropriate action.
Which objects should I report?
- Illegal goods such as counterfeit objects, stolen objects, or any other unlawful merchandise.
- Intellectual property infringements: We respect intellectual property rights, and have established procedures for right holders to report infringements, such as unauthorised use of copyrighted material, trademark violations, or any other IP-related concerns. If you still believe an object is infringing upon an established intellectual property right, please let us know.
- Wrong or incomplete product information: Sellers commit to provide full and correct information in the description of every special object. We encourage our users to report any inaccurate, misleading, or incomplete product descriptions, as that helps us ensure the integrity of our platform and offering.
- Inappropriate content: We strive to create a safe and inclusive digital environment for all users. Content that you find inappropriate because it may violate a law, can be reported.
Does it make a difference who reports illegal content?
Catawiki commits to review all reports related to illegal content on our online marketplace. Both users and visitors can report such content via the contact points listed above. If you act as a Trusted Flagger (as referred to under the EU Digital Services Act) we kindly request that you specify yourself in your report as such, with a reference to your listing on the European Commission website. Law enforcement authorities are requested to follow our established law enforcement policy for all reports and requests for information.
