Bicycles submission guidelines

We carefully select bicycle objects to ensure a high standard of quality, collectability, and authenticity. Our expert-curated auctions feature rare and special pieces, including classic bicycles, original parts, from iconic brands and eras. Our experts review every submission to ensure bidders find rare and valuable pieces that appeal to passionate collectors.

Follow these guidelines to increase your chances of a successful sale.

What we accept

We’re looking for authentic, high-quality bicycles and original parts that appeal to collectors and enthusiasts. To be accepted, your object must:

  • Fall within our accepted categories:
    • Vintage and antique bicycles
    • Rare and original bicycle parts and cycling antiques: gear sets, saddles, racing frames, lights, brakes, etc.

  • Be authentic and in good condition (usable, if applicable)
  • Meet the minimum expected value of €75
(You can combine objects in one submission to meet this threshold)

Your submission is more likely to be accepted if it features:

  • Bicycles from premium  or historically significant brands
  • Bicycle parts such as: vintage and modern parts and components
  • Rare, limited production models (less than 100 units)
  • Bicycles in excellent or restored condition with original components
  • Well-documented maintenance or provenance
  • Invoice and serial number

Getting your submission ready

1. Fill in all the details and write a clear description

When you submit an object, you’ll see fields to guide you in providing the right information, such as: brand, model type, frame size, year of manufacture, frame number, and condition, etc. These fields ensure your listing is clear, searchable, and easy for bidders to understand.

Note: To determine condition, we use the following grading system:

  • Excellent – The object is almost like new or fully restored to original specifications. Paintwork and decals are mostly intact with only minor defects. All components are mechanically sound. The drivetrain, brakes, and wheels function perfectly.
  • Very good – The object is in original condition with small signs of wear. Paintwork may have light scratches or chips. All parts are present and working. Wheels are straight, and tyres are in good condition.
  • Good – The object shows moderate signs of use but remains in working order. Some parts may have been replaced or repaired. Mechanically sound, but may require basic maintenance or adjustment.
  • Signs of wear, no serious damage – The object clearly shows wear and use but is still mechanically functional. Maintenance is needed, and there may be cosmetic issues or small repairs required for drivetrain, brakes, or wheels.
  • In need of restoration – The object is heavily worn, with damaged or missing parts. Frame may be modified or incomplete. Major repairs are required to the drivetrain, brakes, and wheels. Not in working order without restoration.
  • Poor – The object is incomplete and/or damaged beyond repair. Not suitable for auction.

Please also use the object description field to share:

  • Condition of the frame, paint and decals, wheels, tyres and spokes, chain, gears and brakes, saddle, handlebars, lights

  • Whether the object is original or restored
  • Whether it’s complete and in good working order
  • Any recent maintenance or repairs
  • Any parts replaced or upgraded
  • Whether the object has any flaws

Tip: The more detail you provide, the easier it is for bidders to understand the value of your object – and the more likely it is to sell. Find here more tips on how to write a clear, accurate description.

2. Great photos matter

Photos are the first thing bidders see – so make them count! We recommend including at least 15 high-quality images that clearly show the condition and details of your object. This helps bidders make informed decisions and increases your chances of a successful sale.

Your photos should include:

For all submissions:

  • A 360° view from all angles
  • Close-ups of components (frame, saddle, wheels, decals, brakes, gears)
  • Clear images of damage or repairs

For grouped submissions:

  • Overview image including all items, as well as photos of each item individually

Tip: Avoid photos with people, selfies, or screenshots. Use a neutral background (white or black), avoid low-quality or stock images, and aim for natural lighting. Find here more tips on how to take professional photos.
