Products by Bang & Olufsen stand for modern industrial design, both in terms of the appearance and the functioning of their products. Founded in 1925 by Peter Bang and Svend Olufsen, it is still one of the major players in the market. One of the all-time favourites is the Beogram 4002 record player. Why? Ahead of its time
In terms of concept, performance and technical design, this record player was far ahead of its time. All functions are controlled by the computer-like logical circuits. You just press start, and that's it. Thanks to the unique sensor that is located next to the tangential arm, the size of the record and the normal playback speed are determined by themselves! Consequently, the tonearm can slide the needle exactly into the grooves of the record, and within a few seconds you can hear the music.
The designer
This record player was designed by Jacob Jensen. The Beogram 4000 won two prizes, the 'Gold Sim 74' and the 'Top Form 74' award.

Timeless
The record player was first launched in 1972 and is still a popular object among (music) enthusiasts and collectors. That's quite remarkable for the time we live in since new technical developments are implemented every day!
