A Look Into Luxury Watch Brand IWC

International Watch Company, abbreviated to IWC, was founded by American watchmaker Florentine Ariosto Jones in 1868 and is located in Schaffhausen, Switzerland. The fusion of an American engineering and pioneering spirit merged with the traditional foundations of a Swiss-based watchmaker equate to high quality watches of taste and precision.

What differentiates IWC from its Swiss counterparts is that fact that it is the only Swiss watch manufacturing company to be based in Eastern Switzerland rather than the West.

IWC has several different product families, each with a different theme, that appeal to individuals with varying lifestyles and tastes. Each of these themes represent the core values and passions of the IWC brand, and lend themselves as inspiration for current and future partnerships as well as brand experiences, events and special projects.

One of the models, entitled ‘Pilot’, is IWCs most popular design, where a large watch face, a thick leather strap, and an easily readable black dial, all add to the watch's functionality and exclusive style.

IWC has a strong stance when it comes to taking a sustainable approach in building its business. This is an attractive attribute that its customers value highly, as well as its employees and partners, who have remained loyal to the IWC brand for years. In 2012 the company was awarded the prestigious Walpole Award for Excellence because of the commitment to protecting the environment in the fabrication of its watches and awareness of social responsibilities.
