Have you ever felt such a strong need to communicate your emotions for which words were not enough? For Italian artist Piero Tramonta, this very need to express himself visually resulted in an exquisite body of work. Our art auctioneers can't get enough of Tramonta's incredible talent, and so have dedicated a special auction to him, open now until Friday, 17 November (2017). Read on to discover the story of Tramonta and his unique works and find out why you should own one of them.
A Need
Born in 1951, Piero Tramonta developed his painting style in a strongly introspective dimension. Natural landscapes filled with faces, anatomies and animals were the subjects that Tramonta portrayed during his very early period as an artist. But this was not enough and Tramonta completely detached himself from the figurative image to look for something deeper, something magnetic, something that was alive, although not understandable by a simple human eye. His works are fuelled by a sense of recognisability of the unrecognisable.
Free from the Figurative
"By removing the figure, I discovered this chaos of signs, underlined by the human representation. I realised that I could rebuild an order, in my own way, no longer through the figurative image. From that point I have developed all the work on the subject. The intelligence is not static, working on the signs." These are the words by which Tramonta defines the change and abstraction that became the core of his works. With their abstract shapes, lines and colours, Tramonta's compositions gain an independence and a dynamism outside the common visual patterns. His works go beyond the obvious; they give a physical form to seemingly anonymous data, blur occult forces, and portray the texture of the landscape of the soul.
Tramonta's works are gaining international attention. According to our art auctioneers, now is the time to invest in his works. And here's your chance! This week, we're celebrating Piero Tramonta's work with a dedicated auction featuring some of his most interesting creations. A highlight includes this untitled work, representing Tramonta's abstractionism.
