5 Classic Cars Santa Would Drive if His Sleigh Was Broken

Santa's sleigh has proven to be a very reliable means of transport in which he can carry a lot of presents for everyone. But what would he do if  the reindeer got tired or his sled needed some maintenance or broke down? In that case he would need a good alternative to whizz round on to help him give out all the presents on time. We think a nice classic car would suit Santa as a loaner. But which kind of classic cars would he choose? We have a few ideas...

1. Volvo Duett Sweden
In the Nordics, Santa would definitely drive a Volvo. This Swedish car brand is very reliable, which is very important for delivering presents on time. It would have to be a big Volvo and a classic one of course. We think the Volvo Duett would be the right choice! The Duett was produced from 1953 until 1969 and is powered by a 1.8L 4-cylinder engine. It is very big, so Santa can easily load in all his presents in the back and on top of the Volvo.

2. Dodge Pick-up Truck USA
Since so many people live in the USA, Santa needs a very big classic in the States to make his deliveries on time. This is why we suggest that he use a Dodge Pick-Up truck from 1955. With this truck, he can stack all of the presents in the back and deliver all the gifts in nostalgic style.

3. Volkswagen T1 Germany
In Germany, Santa could use a Volkswagen T1 which would be perfect for Santa’s tasks in this country. And naturally, he would drive in style with this custom Cola-Cola T1. It's in the name, the T1 is Volkswagen's first transporter van and that's exactly what Santa need for transporting gifts to all the children.

4. Citroën 2CV Fourgonnette France
In France, Santa could borrow the Citroën 2CV Fourgonnette from the baker. This vehicle was the first choice for French bakers bringing all their baguettes through the villages. Santa could go everywhere due to the very soft and comfortable suspension. Just like the 2CV was designed to be able to drive through a field without breaking any eggs inside the car, Santa would have no trouble delivering fragile presents in this vehicle without breaking them!

5. Ferrari F40 Italy
In Italy, Santa would have to drive in Italian style. This very fast Ferrari F40 is perfect! Although, Santa has to fit a handy imperial on the roof of the Ferrari to carry all of his presents. The very nice and sharp V8 sound out of the exhaust of the F40 will make sure everyone knows Santa is coming!
