superb Wimhurst machine, electrostatic generator circa 1870/1880 comes from the Electrogenic company in Paris. It fed x-ray tubes in high voltage at the beginning of medical radiology. rare and exceptional condition! the brand is engraved into the wood as well as the model number. the number is visible on one of the photo but the brand is engraved so small that I can't take a picture, you may maybe see written: Société ...... everything is 100% original. only the contact lamellas on the discs have been redone with adhesive aluminium, possible to remove them easily to make them again in better quality! base 43cm X 20 cm. height 55cm discs diameter 40cm.
