Buell - S1 Lightning 1200cc - 1998

Buell - S1 Lightning - 1998 Model produced in only 4680 copies worldwide, sold between 1996 and 1998. Manufactured and developed by Erik Buell, equipped with a 1200cc Harley-Davidson engine with carburettor. Nothing to do with the rest of other character-less, injection Buell motorbikes subsequently built by Harley-Davidson. It’s a Show-Bike prepared by the ‘Mot’Art’ workshop, several publications in the press. French registration, 16000 km. I bought this bike in perfect condition, all original with only 9800 Km. The bike was fully disassembled to allow the preparation, including the chroming of the framework. Swing arm of origin replaced by a new X1 Buell, polished and chromed. Reassembled with new bearings. The rear sprocket has been replaced by a new model with a larger diameter, USA type, it also received a flask in chromed aluminium. The output pulley of engine crankcase is equipped with a RIZOMA thick polished aluminium flask. The two engine sumps were dismantled to be sanded and polished. The original WHITE POWER fork was fully disassembled to be entirely polished, same for the two triple clamps, also polished The two rims have been dismantled, the bearings removed, sanded, galvanized, polished to be reassembled with all new bearings. The original carburettor was replaced by a new HRS42, equipped with a new polished FORCE WINDER air filter. The exhaust manifold was galvanized and then polished. A number of small parts have been disassembled to be chromed, like the whole rear light plate rack, the headlight, the switch plate, pulling engine, Buell inscription The front brake master cylinder has been replaced by a new BREMBO, aviation hose, RHIZOME jar. The original meter was replaced by a new mini 48 diameter odometer with white background. Painting of the back and of the tank was entrusted to an artist known for his work in the Harley-Davidson world: SEBA OLLSHOOL. The tank is signed by him. CANDY METAL FLAK paint with 16 coats of varnish. (A small blister to note, visible only from nearby.) The original exhaust has been replaced by a new Vance & Hine in stainless/carbon . I also provide the original exhaust. Driver and passenger aluminium footrests. The front guard and its two brackets have been custom-made in aluminium according to the original size A new chrome oil cooler has been installed and mounted with the aviation hoses. New micro KELERMAN rear blinkers This unique preparation took many months of work and a lot of money was invested. This bike has always been serviced by a Harley-Davidson dealer (invoices available), it is very little used but runs smoothly. Maintenance is perfectly up-to-date as well as all the consumables (new battery, oil change, oil pump, tires, starter, brake pads) No costs to expect, simply enjoy the more than 100 ch. Can be viewed and picked-up in Carcassonne (11000, France)
