Piet Hein van Asperen. Born in Harlingen on 8 February 1895. Son of Hein van Asperen and Jantje Gnodde. Piet Hein lived in Harlingen, Amsterdam, Rotterdam and since 1930 in Leeuwarden, where he worked as a designer at the LPF. Married on 24 July 1922 in Harlingen with Appollonia de Boer (1897-1981), he was a painter in Rotterdam. Died in Leeuwarden on 5 November 1969. Attended the Quellinusschool in Amsterdam at J.B. Heukelom and C. Rol. Van Asperen drew, painted and drew in water colours; still lifes, figures, port and city views., literature: - Leeuwarder Courant 05-11-1969 In perfect condition in a beautiful frame size 76x65cm
