Lot with 20 little geometrical AKAN gold weights in provenance from Ghana (ASHANTI) and Ivory Coast (BAULE).

Unique miniature bronze sculptures crafted following the lost wax (cire perdue) method.
Wear and tear, age patina with shiny accents. Weight corrections with lead.
(The smallest and the largest dimensions of the 4 weights are indicated each time)
-4 pieces pseudo Arabic characters, 7-22 mm (No 3 has wells on the back; no 4 is possibly a fragment)
- 4 pieces triangles, 16-32 mm
-4 piece double comb with ram's horn, 10-25 mm (1 x lead)
-4 pieces double comb with variants, 14-33 mm (1 x lead)
-4 pieces double comb with triangles 16-37 mm (2 x lead)
The lightest one measures 3,60 grams ; the heaviest one measures 26,75 grams.
All the 20 together weigh ca. 260 grams.
