1. Carte des Costes de France et d'Espagne (1754)
Dimensions: 26 x 35 cm.
Condition: excellent. Ample margins. Hand coloured. Folds as issued (from atlas). Verso: blank. Good quality paper.
Beautifully coloured sea chart that shows the coast lines of Spain, Portugal and France, the southern parts of England and Ireland and the north of Africa.
Jacques Nicolas Bellin was the most important French hydrographer of the 18th century. He published his beautiful maps in several important works like the Sea-atlas Hydrographique Français (1756-65) and the atlas to accompany Prévost d' Exile's Histoire. des Voyages, (1738-75). This map comes from the 1754 edition of the Atlas Maritime.
2. Les Royaumes d´Espagne et de Portugal (1780)
Dimensions: 20,5 x 31,5cm (image) on a page of 25,5 x 40,5cm
Condition: Very good condition. Clean paper with ample margins. Central fold (as issued). Reverse side blank.
Nice map of Spain and Portugal by Raynal & Bonne, published in Paris in 1780.
