Woodcut attributed to the Utagawa (Toyoharu 歌川派) school, an important school for the production of erotic prints (shunga) in the Edo era.
Hiroshige, Kunisada, Kuniyoshi and Yoshitoshi were well-known Utagawa school students.
The word "shunga" means "spring print". The word "spring" is a Japanese euphemism for "making love".
