Alberts born in Amsterdam 1912 - 1990 Wezep It is painted with oil paint on canvas, the work is in an excellent condition and in a truly wonderful frame. Alberts shows beautifully the cows, trees, the reeds in the water and the sunset. The painting was recently professionally cleaned and became a new varnish layer. The size of the painting is 40 cm x 60 cm and with the frame ca. 55 cm x 75 cm. Fine art painter Willem Jacobus Alberts was born in Amsterdam on 21 October 1912. He lived and worked in his hometown a large part of his life. He also worked in Oldenbroek and Wezep. This pupil of Minne Bakker exchanged in the 1950s the big city for the County. There, he found inspiration for his paintings and watercolours. Alberts devoted himself mainly on creating landscapes (forests and meadows) cows, horses and sheep there are also church interiors, some still lifes, flower arrangements and animals of his hand. He painted in a naturalistic-impressionist style. W.J. Albers was a member of Palette "Wending" in Zwolle. Information: Pieter Scheen
