Fiat - 124 Sport Spider 2000 - 1979

It is at Pininfarina that Tom Tjaarda designed the Spider Fiat 124 which has a timeless charm with a classic and refined line. This vehicle has a French classic cars registration and an MOT which is valid until September 2017. The mileage displays 53.500 miles on the clock (being 86.100 km). This is a model from 1979 of American origin imported from California, With its second owner in France, this Spider has undergone a professional restoration since which it has only driven 3.500 km. This vehicle runs on lead-free petrol and it is presented in an elegant black livery on a ecru interior with burr walnut trim. The vehicle presents a successful change of the front with the removal of the bumpers and good integration of the turn signals and position lights as well as long staves in the grille that are not without evoking the look of a certain 250 GTO. The mechanics with its double-shaft aluminium cylinder head designed by the engineer Aurelio Lampredi respects Fiat's sporting tradition. The car starts like clockwork and runs perfectly. The vehicle has undergone a major overhaul of the mechanics: - the engine has been rebuilt (new low engine block, new Fiat crankshaft, rebuilt cylinder head, rectified valves) - new clutch - new shock absorbers - Front axle was completely remodelled (ball joints, silent block, triangle) - Brakes calipers redone, new pads - New water pump - Exhaust line changed in part The new pieces come from the specialised German supplier Fiat/Alfa Del Priore (invoices are available). The body is in superb condition and benefits from a new paint job. This vehicle of Californian origin was extremely healthy at the base without any rust and the body was professionally stripped down to the metal which was treated against rust before being repainted in black. The upholstery is very clean and elegant in the ecru tone which goes well with the dashboard panel in authentic burr walnut, which is new. The clock works but has some defects, The rood is in very good condition as are the rim that are fitted with new tyres. This vehicle can be viewed and retrieved in Lyon, France and can drive any distance.
