Imposing statue of the central Hindu bird figure Garuda. It is known to be the riding-animal of Prince Rama, but is also known in other forms. This Garuda was placed in front of the temple entrance to keep the evil entities out. Carved from wood in much detail, this Garuda statue with a beautiful colour: its crafting received lots of care and attention. One wing has a glued part (the part where the wing is slid in the side); furthermore in perfect condition. Wings and the dragons on the foot are loose components. It's a very large statue, with a height of 84 cm and a width of 48 cm. Will be shipped by registered post.
