Very rare and extremely beautiful antique Vajra / Dorje. 16 prongs with Makaras. Tibet – Buthan 19th century. Possibly earlier.
This is a remarkably beautiful antique Dorje / Vajra. It was collected during a visit to Bhutan in 1982. The original fabric is still around the heart of the Dorje / Vajra. This has never been removed and is 'greasy' due to long-term use.
Dorje length: 15.5 cm.
Dorje width: 5.56 cm.
Dorje weight: 395 g.
Provenance:
Collected in Bhutan in 1982.
Has been in a private collection in the Netherlands to date.
