Good condition-"37 Webbing"-Common Wealth

Type: Accessories (More lots)
Country of Origin: Canada
Condition: Good
Period: 20th - mid (WW II)

1937 Pattern Web Equipment (also known as ' 37 Webbing ') was part of the uniform, in which material could be carried. 37 Webbing has the 1908 Pattern and replaced the 1925 Pattern , but used this earlier drafts, of course, as a base. It was the standard uniform for soldiers of the UK and the Commonwealth from its introduction in 1937, during WW2 and in the post-war period, until it was replaced by 58 pattern webbing.

Date of this item: 1946
Dimensions: width 24 cm x height 27.5 cm
It looks like it's a part of the British uniform, but it is a part of the Canadian uniform, worn by the officers of the infantry, ....

The clear markings on the inside refer to Z.L. & T. Ltd.; i.e. Zephyr Loom & Textile Ltd. of Guelph Ontario in Canada.
This neat WW2 Canadian "37 webbing" map case is complete; with strap, bordeaux colour fibreboard with clear plastic support to embed the maps and the brass clasps and buckles are all in place. Markings are clear, on the inside. All the press buttons work as it should.
