Beautiful couple old statues of Jesus and St. Elizabeth. The mother of John the Baptist, Elizabeth was related to Mary, the mother of Jesus, according to Luke. Because of the age difference it is assumed that Elizabeth was an aunt of Mary. But John and Jesus hardly differed in age. According to Luke 1:36 Elizabeth was six months pregnant when the pregnancy of Jesus was announced. Size circa 23 cm. wide, 30 cm. high and 15 cm. deep Condition: in good condition with normal signs of age.
