Ango Edwards

Jango Edwards, born Stanley Ted Edwards, April 15, 1950, in Detroit.
is a clown and American comedian installed in Europe since the beginning of the 1970s.

During the 1980s, his magazine called Garb-age
(gallicized pronunciation of the English term "garbage", "trash").

Its style belongs to the burlesque; as Jango does not necessarily speak the languages of the countries in which he represents, his show is mainly sign, in a grotesque way, although he does say a few sentences in his native English, but it doesn't matter if they are misunderstood by the audience.

In 1970, on a visit to Europe, he discovers a book of the Russian esoteric philosopher Ouspensky, who inspires him deeply. At the end of this reading, he chooses to invest in the control of 'the art of the clown', no not as a profession, but rather as lifestyle, a sort of religion that he likes to call "the Church of the smile".

His first band, 'The London kid Company', subsequently merges
with 'The London Black Theater Company', more a few students from the Central School of Art and Design,
to form '' The Friends Road Show. ''a theatrical community with bases in London, Amsterdam and Detroit, which will be attended by some 400 members. It is this organization that established the annual meeting "The Festival of fools" in Amsterdam, from 1975 to 1984.

In the early 1980s, he performed with success in Paris, including at the Theatre of the almond trees,
and to the Splendid Saint-Martin from September 1987 to May 1988.

In the 1990s, he is regularly invited to French emissions Anywhere else along with Antoine de Caunes and José Garcia, and Hey, it's us! presented by Christophe Dechavanne,
where he was noted for his antics, and rose to prominence to a very wide audience.
