This Antique Victorian Walnut Writing Slope circa, 1880 has been constructed from beautifully figured walnut with brass plaque and brass escutcheon. The interior comprises of an early, tooled leather writing insert and removable pen tray, a flip out lidded compartment for pens,nibs etc. The inside main surface has a green leather with a gold decorative boarder and corner motifs. A leather two sided insert when opened up reveals two separate storage areas for letters and documents. Writing slope with working lock and key. Some scratches and dents to the surface, a leather cracked in the middle, please see the photos, otherwise in a very good condition. Size 30 x 22 x 12cm
