This Ebel was made in the late 1940's. The current owner bought the watch more then 20 years ago from a well known vintage watch dealer in Holland. The silver dial has great patina, in the photos the patina comes out stronger then in regular daylight and wear. For a seventy year old watch, the watch is in good condition. The watch has a new crystal. The lugs are special, they are so called fancy lugs. The watch has provenance with the engravings on the case back, I am guessing it was a gift to somebody on 3 June 1950. The large size of the lugs relative to the size of the case and the organic shape of the lugs in combination with the patina, make the watch really stand out when it is worn, it is a very charming watch with a lot of character.
