Messerschmitt - Bubble Car KR 200 - 1960

Messerschmitt KR 2000 from 1960, in out opinion, better than new. As you can see in the photos, almost every screw on this car was renewed. The engine had a complete overhaul, as did the complete car anyway. Brakes, clutch, wheels, bodywork, transmission, cables, electric system, tank, etc., etc. The car has been standing safely in a living room for more than 20 years. Seriously! We’ve disassembled it very meticulously and restored it completely. The expert restoration alone cost almost €30,000. No expense was spared. Feel free to inspect the vehicle before placing your bid. We’d like to avoid any discussions afterwards. Although we’re completely certain that there will be absolutely nothing to complain about! For the buyer’s safety, we’ve just had a German inspection (TÜV) done, which was flawless. We can offer you worldwide shipping for a fee. The engine is a Fichtel & Sachs two-stroke. Number of cylinders: 1 Bore/stroke: 65 x 58 mm Displacement: 191 cc Bosch Dynastart Power: 10.2 hp at 5250 rpm, later 9.7 hp at 5000 rpm Compression ratio: 6.6: 1, later 6.2: 1 Carburettor: Cooling: forced air cooling Lubrication: mixture 1: 25 Battery: 12 V/14 Ah next to the engine Drive: via encapsulated roller chain to rear wheel Clutch: oil bath clutch with four discs Transmission: 4-speed transmission with electrically switched reverse gear Independent suspension Steering: almost direct axle-pivot steering with lever transmission and motorcycle-like handlebar Wheelbase 2030 mm Track width in the front 1080 mm, one rear wheel Dimensions 2820 x 1220 x 1200 mm Tyres 4,00" x 8" Turning radius 9 m Unladen weight 240 kg Permitted total weight 420 kg Maximum speed 90 km/h Consumption approx. 4.5 l per 100 km Fuel tank capacity 12.5 l above engine Built from February 1955 until January 1964 The vehicle can be viewed and picked up near Berlin, Germany.
