Very good condition in its original box.

Franz Schmedding 1805-1881 applied for a concession in Augsburg in 1834 and opened his first business. Only treasures were made for nobility and royalty. He was the director of the guild for several years from 1838 onward. From 1842-1845
his workshop worked on the table decoration for the wedding of crown prince Maximilian of Bavaria, the so-called "Schwanenaufsatz". This three-part table top resides in the Schwanensaal of the castle Hohenschwangau. He also worked for many European aristocrats.
He also worked for many European aristocrats. Many of his treasures made on the order of the respective nobility are still unknown today. This noble 5-piece serving cutlery with salt and pepper containers is also difficult to assign. This was probably made for a Northern European nobility.
The silver hallmark as well as the punches are difficult to distinguish and are shown as well as is possible in the many photos.
It is an absolute rarity by Franz Schmedding, which is offered here.
The two forks whose handle is made of 800 silver and the gold-plated skewers have a length of 18,0 cm.
The small sampling spoon has the size of 6,5 cm
The two salt and pepper containers are made of finest mouth-blown Baccarat crystal with diamond cut and each have a size of about 4.3 cm in diameter, as well as a height of approx. 2.0 cm.
For more information about this wonderful offer please see the numerous photos.
