Ca. 1900, Germany
A beautiful Art Nouveau, Jugendstil tile panel of the firm Meissner Ofen und Porzellan Fabrik vormals Carl Teichert Meissen. Abbreviation M.O.& P. F. C.T.M.. The latter can be found on the back of the tiles as a trade mark.
The tile panel is from around 1900. In 1891 the name of this factory changed from Carl Teichert, Meissen in the above-mentioned name.
The image is a beautiful display of the Art Nouveau of that time with ribbon-patterns and nature. The colours are overwhelming: In particular, the blue is penetrating.
The tile panel consists of 28 tiles and has a size of 102 x 58 cm.
The condition of the tiles is very good (none are broken) with some (user-) damage. The pictures show the condition with the detail photos exaggerating reality somewhat. When we count from the top-right the 6th tile has the largest damage on the glaze. Furthermore, tiles 26 and 27 have some small glaze damage and there are some scratches on two blue tiles.
A beautiful and large original Art Nouveau tile panel from Meissen - you don't see that every day!
The tile panel weighs 12.5 KG (without packing). Shipping is an option but due to the weight it is expensive and pretty risky. The parcel will therefore be carefully packaged and sent by registered and insured mail. Pick-up is also possible.
