These militairy german binoculars, made by Carl Zeiss in Jena, are in really very good shape and are still perfect for daily use. This is the Silvamar 6x30; this type was produced between 1910 and 1975. The engraving "Dienstglas" was used for militairy purposes. Most probably this example is produced between 1945 and 1960. 6x30 means: magnification 6x and the diameter of the front lens is 30mm. The exit pupil is 30 : 6 = 5mm. Linear field of view: 150 meter. Like most other militairy binoculars this Silvamar has no central focusing wheel, but needs to be focused at the eyepieces. Sizes (without rubber eyepieces): 16 x 11 x 4,5 cm. Weight: 470 grams. Will be very well packed, and shipped with registered mail.
