mechanical - steel case - Excellent condition
An antique, scarce and rare example of a men’s (1910) timepiece by Le Coultre. This gorgeous, men’s watch is a very handsome specimen and features a new engraved metal dial. It is in excellent mint condition. Signed "Le Coultre". The lugs are in great condition while the large antique winding crown is in very good shape and operates properly. This is a “nail set” watch so you don’t pull the crown out to set the time. Instead, you press the little button below the crown in and then move the crown to set the hands, releasing the button once you’re finished.
This unique watch has new steel case with exhibition snap back, new custom made, fantastic, build specially for this excellent movement. This is a marriage watch. A marriage watch is the term used for a new, modern case that has been used to house a vintage pocket watch movement.
Lifting this exhibition snap back lid reveals a routinely serviced and high quality, 15 Fifteen Jewel manual wind, screwed settings lever escapement movement with red Ruby jewel settings that is not signed. (Original early movements by Le Coultre do not have a signature.) This beautiful wristwatch has the Original movement in excellent condition which makes this watch rare, considering the age of the movement in this watch. Moreover this movement has gold chantons surrounding the jewels. This movement has been recently serviced to ensure it winds and sets smoothly while keeping accurate time.
