Approx. 1890, Germany, in reasonably good condition, with five records
|Age:||Second half 19th century|
|Condition:||Overall in fair condition with traces of ageing and usage|
This antique Symphonion music box is highly sought after among collectors. The music box plays by turning the lever, this can be used both with a closed and with an open box. The records have diameter of 14.5 cm.
The music box has some wear and tear on the outside. Also two teeth on the bridge are missing. Playing a record generally goes well, sometimes the plate does not quite stay put, due to curving. This is not surprising considering the age.
The dimensions of the music box are 16.5 cm x 16.5 cm x 8.5 cm (L x W x H) and the total weight is 1800 grams.
Will be well-packaged and shipped by registered mail.
