Bottom: The bottom consists of a top layer of large pebbles
with a limestone bottom underneath it.
Grape variety 100% Tinta de Toro
Wine making: The first fermentation takes place in large, wooden
barrels after the grapes have been cooled to 5 °C. The
frequency and intensity of pumping depends
on the tannins. The malolactic fermentation takes
place in the wine barrels. Ageing takes places in French
(70%) and American (30%) oak wine barrels during
13 months and after this the wine continues ageing within the bottle.
Serving temperature 16 °C.
Taste description: An elegant wine in the austerity of the region, which
means that the delicate tannins are embraced by the scent of
fresh fruit. Young already good but delicious after a few years of
Features: A powerful and full-bodied wine, dark fruit, cherries, tobacco,
and a long finish.
Wine and food suggestions: It is perfect with sirloin steak and other grilled meat.
