Intriguing face with coffee beans for eyes. The arms are bent, with the finely carved hands resting at the sides.
Lwena figurine with yellow - brown patina, and scarification on the stomach in a diamond pattern. Cubist design.

The Lwena people Living near the Zambian border are related to the Tchokwe kingdom and sustain themselves by fishing at the source of the Zambeze River, in Angola. Their art is refined and more rare than Tchokwe art.
