Mid 20th century - Good condition
This statue comes from the Mambila people from Nigeria and Cameroon, who live on the Mambilla plateau. They regard themselves as a group with a common identity. Mambila figurines such as this one were kept in granaries. B/w photograph from 1936 (A History of Art in Africa).
