Keshan (or Kashan) is located slightly north of central Iran. Keshan is one of the resting places along the Silk Road.
Characteristic for a Keshan rug is a wonderfully designed medallion, trees and figurative patterns. There also are Keshan rugs that are completely covered in floral patterns. The most common colours are red, blue and beige.
Keshan rugs are durable rugs, made of high-quality wool, often with a rich shine, on a cotton warp. They are excellent rugs for daily use and have a high durability.
This is a used rug, which has become more beautiful and richer in character due to the natural ageing process.

Main colour: Red.
Accent colours: Green, cream, golden yellow, pink and shades of blue.
