In 1917, the United States entered the war. They have about 4500 models AC of Mack Trucks. Legend says that British soldiers were so impressed by this indestructible 6-ton truck that they have dubbed him "Bulldog Mack. The animal was adopted in 1922 as the emblem of the brand, but Mack the Bulldog (that's his name) was designed by the engineer Alfred Masury in 1932. Over time, the function of this dog went from radiator ornament to handle. His ears and tail were cut short in 1979 to avoid accidents when opening the hood.
