Representing a mythical creature half man - half antelope who learned the man how to cultivate the soil.
There are vertical when male (sun) and horizontal when female (earth) Chiwara's.
Those where danced and on top of a fibre basket (rain).
The male and female Shiwara's had to dance together for a good harvest.
Also spelled Ci Wara, Tyi Wara, Shiwara, etc.
