3rd quarter of the 20th century - Good condition
Beautiful very large female ancestor statue of the Malinese Bambara tribe. Imposing appearance, stylistically strong, nicely mounted on a stand. This statue has been standing on the ground which led to some termite damage on the lower part. See the pictures! Nice combination of round and angular shapes. Traces of wear and tear and aging.
Length: 73 cm (78 cm including the stand).
Weight: 4010 grams!!
Date: 3rd quarter of the 20th century.
Provenance: ex museum/gallery Tounkara Rotterdam (Peter Beaujean).
