10,70 x 15,30 cm on plate border in a laid paper sheet of 19,50 x 24,50 cm.
Fine although later impression with the text line erased. No folds, or tears. Faded brown stain on the back of the seated woman. Needle pin holes in left margin from the former binding. Watermarked paper a bit thumbed in the right corners.

Abraham Bloemaert (1564 - 1651)
Genre, portrait and history painter, etcher and engraver; b. at Dordrecht, d. in Utrecht; son of Cornelis Bloemaert; pupil of Joost de Beer in Utrecht; 1580-83 pupil of H. Francken in Paris; 1591-92 in Amsterdam.
Cornelis Bloemaert (printmaker; Dutch; 1603 - 1692)
Engraver, second son of Abraham. Trained under Crispin de Passe; in 1630 moved to Paris and settled in Rome before 1633, where he became the major figure of the day, with a biography in Baldinucci (along with Spierre). A devout Catholic, who continued working despite horrific injuries to his hand in a fire. He died unmarried, and bequeathed his estate to his brother Frederick in Utrecht, with Westerhout acting as his executor.
