Elzevier publication (according to Willems) in good condition, early modern Elzevier notebook on politics

Condition: Good
Language: French
Edition: 1st Edition
Publication year oldest item: 1648
Author/ Illustrator: Jean de Silhon
Book Title: Le ministre D'Estat, Avec Le Veritable... (etc.)
Number of Books: 1
Publisher: Sphaera-vignet: uitgever anoniem

Full title description:
Silhon, Jean de, Le ministre d’Estat, avec le veritable vsage de la Politique moderne. Derniere Edition, (printer’s mark / title vignette: Sphaera), Iouxte la Copie imprimée a Paris [= Leiden, Bonaventura and Abraham Elzevier], 1648.

The sphaera vignette or printer's mark (globe, sphaera armilaris or globe with zodiac) is a schematic representation of the world showing the globe surrounded by a spherical web bearing the sloping Zodiac. This printer's mark was often used when a publisher wanted to remain anonymous.

STCN mentions two copies: one in the Leiden University Library and one in the British Library. This work is only complete with the second volume from 1651 and the third volume (16..?). But complete it is extremely rare. The original French editions were published in 1631, 1643 and 1651 in Paris by Toussaint du Bray. (Source: description of Librairie Le Feu Follet on Antiqbook).

This copy:
Good copy. In the original parchment binding. Paper in the front and in the back somewhat tanned. An occasional spot. Small tear in the title page.

Leuk kavel.Helaas slecht verpakt verzonden, waardoor de brieven erg gekreukeld aangekomen zijn.Verkoper bood aan om koop te ontbinden, maar gezien de lage kosten heb ik besloten ze toch maar te houden.
