Very rare guitar with an arched back for more sound and volume
Very special guitar. The Ibanez 952. Built in 1976, serial number: 761110
This guitar was only made for a short period: only in 1976 and 1977.
The special feature of this guitar is that there are no supports on the back panel. The back panel is moulded with a curve so supports are not needed. This gives the guitar a more natural and powerful sound than the normal dreadnoughts (also see the photo of the Ibanez catalogue from 1976).
The guitar is in excellent condition. As good as no dings or other damage on it.
The top is made of selected spruce. The back and the sides are made of mahogany. Fretboard and bridge made of rosewood. Beautiful tortoise pickguard and chrome, individual tuners.
