Fiat - 1200 Granluce Votture Speciale - 1960 / VENTE SANS PRIX DE RESERVE

Fiat 1200 Granluce Votture Speciale Superb Fiat 1200 Granluce Saloon 4-doors - in mint condition - inline-four 1221 cm3 - 4-speed semi manual transmission. This model is from 1960 which has benefited from a full professional restoration. The body is in excellent condition without corrosion with a chassis in very good condition. The new lacquer job presents very well without defects. The interior in creme coloured leather holstery is new and in excellent condition. The engine is original and not renovated, working very well. The mileage shows 80.974 km and the vehicle is presented in a lovely Red and Black colour. The Fiat 1200 Granluce was introduced at the Turin Motor Show in November 1957. It was intended to replace the Fiat 1100/103 TV (Turismo Veloce), the sportiest and more luxuriously trimmed model of the 1100 range. The Fiat 1200 was the name of three distinct models produced by Italian car manufacturer Fiat, all based on Fiat 1100 mechanicals. The first two were introduced in 1957, the 1200 Granluce, was an upmarket small four-door saloon derived from the Fiat 1100. The 1200 Granluce was discontinued in 1961 when larger Fiat saloons were introduced. The 1200 was equipped with a new engine of 1,221 cc, developing 55 PS (40 kW; 54 bhp). While derived from the 1100, the 1200 Granluce had an all-new, more modern greenhouse, featuring a wider widshield, ampler side windows and a rear panoramic window - hence the Granluce name, meaning "grand light". At the rear the car adopted the fins and longer boot of the contemporary 1100 model 1958. Intended as a luxury model, the Granluce's bodywork was heavily decorated: there was a contrasting colour roof, a ribbed chrome panel on the C pillar, and bright trim on the bonnet, sides and boot lid. Approximately 400,000 copies of the 1200 Granluce were built before it was discontinued in September 1961, when the new and larger Fiat 1300 was launched. Despite this the Granluce bodyshell was inherited by upmarket 1100 versions as the 1100 Special, and in 1963 the mainstream 1100 D adopted not only the body bot also the engine from the 1200. This vehicle is registered in Italy. It has all of the official Italian papers, the registration papers, the PRA/ACI owner’s certificate, the new official Italian MOT. This vehicle can be viewed and retrieved in Menton, France, and can drive any distance. On request, The car can be transported to place of destination, agreement of payment will be done directly with owner. Note: This car was found in a garage for approx. 25 years ago, and had been forgotten for many years. Then a great job was started to restore the Fiat 1200 Granluce in the same condition as it once was when it was a good working car. The engine has not been renovated and only important safety features have been replaced with new original parts. Done: Checked braking system with brake linings and brake cylinders replaced. Replaced flexible rubber brake tubes. Replaced window wipers. Replaced battery and muffler. Full engine inspection. Done: Checked braking system with brake linings and brake cylinders replaced.
