Jade figurine - China - 2nd half 20th century
Stands glued to a carved wooden base;
Glued with double-sided tape, thus easy to remove
Height: with base 27.5 cm, 23 cm without.
Pristine.
Two hardness tests were carried out on the underside of the figurine, with a sharp knife and a steel nail. Afetr the tests, no scratches could be seen. One can assume a hardness of 7 on the Moh scale. See both photos.
It is probably artificially coloured jade.
