* William Theed the Younger (1804-1891) was an English sculptor. He was the son of the sculptor and painter William Theed the Elder (1764 – 1817). After studying at the Royal Academy School, Theed worked for the sculptor Edward Hodges Baily. In 1826, he went to Rome, where he remained for 22 years and worked with Bertel Thorvaldsen and John Gibson. Theed created primarily sculptural portraits and busts (WIkipedia).
