The Mossis are the majority ethnic group in Burkina Faso, constituting more than 40% of the population, 6.2 million people. The rest of the population consists of about 60 ethnic groups, mainly the Gourounsis, the Senoufos, the Lobis, the Bobos, and the Peuls. The Mossis speak the more.
The history of societies and the Mossi kingdoms is known by many studies on oral traditions (Leo Frobenius, Michel Izard, Junzo Kawada). The chronology of the social and political Mossi formations is the product of cut stories and dynastic chronicles. Mythology and history may advance a Ghanaian origin of the Mossi from the warrior and conqueror category of the Nakomse . It is illustrated by the today popular Yennenga legend, Princess of the Dagomba Kingdom, which has been to the lands located to the North, in the Valley of the river Nakambe, where she would be allied to a native Hunter called Riale. From this union the ancestor of all the Mossi was born of surname Ouedraogo, in particular the Nakomse, conquerors and founders of kingdoms.

La statuette est bien arrivée ce jour, très bien emballée pour sa protection. Une chose l'interpelle malgré tout, il restait du cocke dans les interstices et de la terre.
