Mechanical 8-day movement – half-hourly striking mechanism on gong
|Age:||Second half 19th century|
|Condition:||In good condition|
Very beautiful and original Lenzkirch (Agul) table clock.
Both the movement and the case were entirely professionally restored a year ago. Which is why it comes with a one-year guarantee from my clockmaker/watchmaker.
Movement has been fully cleaned (ultrasonically) and restored.
Black polished oak case with ebony accents, bronze dial with silver-plated numeral ring and moon disc which is also very beautifully painted. Painting is intact. Beautiful gilded bronze ornamentation.
Lovely blued hands, original Lenzkirch winding key and original case key.
Movement is marked with the number 910.445, dating the clock to somewhere between 1890 and 1894.
In addition, the number 14 is signed on both the backplate and the pendulum. Below the serial number is a triangle with a dot stamped in the middle. And it has an oval surrounding the code 'AGUL R4'.
The clock has a very beautiful gong strike and the movement runs perfectly.
