2.- John Plummer (introduction) = Les Très Riches Heures de Catherine de Clèves - Edited by Albain Michel, Paris, 1967 - Approx. 250 pp. (not paginated) - Luxury limited edition, gold lettered and decorated imitation leather hardcover with gold decorated slipcase, golden edges at the top, ribbon marker - 21 x 15 cm.
Condition: As good as new.

- Les Très Riches Heures du Duc de Berry, the world famous masterwork by the van Limburg brothers was commissioned by Jean de France, Duke of Berry and the brother of the French King. All 139 overwhelming miniatures of this manuscript are included in gold print in this book in facsimile.
The original rests in the Musée Condé in Chantilly

- Les Très Riches Heures de Catherine de Clèves is considered the nest manuscript of the northern Netherlands book illumination. This work is also from the early 15th century, contains 157 magnificent miniatures and is made by an unknown artist, named the Master of Catherine of Kleef.
This work rests in the Morgan Library in New York.
