1975, United Kingdom
Square coffee table, 'DS2' model made by Cassina in 1975, produced from an original design by Scottish architect and designer Charles Rennie Mackintosh for Basset Lowke. The square table is made from black ebonised ash wood, displaying the typical lines and features from the 'Mackintosh' line by Cassina. The 'DS2' is considered an exclusive designer piece and has become a practically impossible to find model, since nowadays it is no longer produced by Cassina (different to the similar DS1 oval model).
The table was purchased during the late 1980s (1989) and has almost never been used as a table, but more as a decorative furniture piece. It is also protected by a custom-made green velvet cover. (Sold together with the table)
In excellent condition, as shown in photo. The photos also show the Cassina stamp of originality and the model number (765).
width and depth 75 cm,
height 78 cm (approx.)
