Four Pcs of 18th c. Chinese Export Blue & White Porcelain from the Nanking Cargo
The pieces in this lot include a beer mug, a bowl, and two tea cups and saucers.
Signature: all pieces have labels from Christie's Nanking Cargo auction in 1986. The four pieces are accompanied by a receipt from the antique store where the four pieces were purchased for $840.00 in 1990.
Age: circa 1750
Condition: excellent condition. The original overglaze enameling and gilding on the Chinese Imari mug has been degraded from being in the salt water. The beer mug handle has been restored. The bowl has three glaze flakes on the rim .The saucers have a couple of very small glaze flakes on the rims and the cups have several small glaze flakes on the rims. The surface on one of the cups is slightly degraded from being underwater and there is what looks like a small piece of coral growing on the rim
Size: the bowl is 15cm diameter x 7cm tall. The beer mug is 10cm tall. The saucers are 11.5cm diameter and the cups are 3.8cm tall x 7.5cm 3diameter.
