Gijsbrecht Andriesz Verbrugge / van der Bruchge (1633-1730)
Painter of portraits and genre scenes. Engraver of mezzo tint. Born in Leyden, died in Delft. He followed his education together with Gerard Dou. He lived for some time in London before he setteled in Delft. Inscribed in the guild of Delft in 1665.
(Source: Benezit and RDK)

As with most drawings from rather rare artists authorship is not easy to confirm, especially because there is less work auctioned by this artist. (One mythological drawing found and several portrait paintings in RDK). His portrait was made by Tako Hajo Jelgersma in 1737)
The nature of the work would fit a youth work during his London period, perhaps strengthened by the London provenance of the collection stamp.
