a beautiful analogue watch with a sub-second
A beautiful Soviet Molnija watch (Молния) (Lightning) with a sub-secnd made in the 50s, the manufacture process was started in 1955 in Czelabińsk.
The watch after winding works well, it is the earliest Molini version with the 3602 movement. The movement has an impressed number 668280. The movement is on rubies but I don't know if on 15, 16 or 18 jewels (all these have occurred over the years) and if it has the breguet hairspring. The movement has the sign SU (soviet union), which attests its authenticity. On the outside, its engraved on both sides. Cast from a special alloy resembles tarnished silver because of its colour. The Molnija watch factory was opened on 17 November 1947. The main recipient of the company was back then the Soviet Union Defence Department, providing them with watches, pocket watches and table watches. Unique watches were also manufactured for use in Soviet tanks, combat aircraft, submarines, and finally in spacecraft.
