Beautiful bronze statue on a wooden stand. On the foot signed H. Giraud sc. (ulptit) and with inscription 'd'après le tableau de Millet'. The statue was created by the Belgian-French sculptor Henri Giraud (1840?-1895) L ' Angélus, following the example of “L’Angélus”, the famous painting of the French painter Jean-François Millet (1814-1875), made ca. 1857-1859. A similar copy is in the childhood home of Jean-François Millet In Gréville-Hague. Weight is 10.4 kg. Dimensions without stand 45 cm high and 25 cm wide, 15 cm deep With stand 58 cm high and 35 cm wide, 20 cm deep
