Auctioning off this fully equipped Mercedes-Benz 560 SL (the only available extra were heated seats). This model was designed for export for the American, Australian, and Japanese market and produced from 1985 to 1989; it was never officially offered in Europe. The 5.6 l 8-cylinder (M 117) engine emerged from the 5.0 l V8, it has a power of 170 kW (231 hp).

I’ve bought this vehicle for my collection due to its low mileage and its attractive colour combination. When it arrived, however, it became clear that its condition was not as the seller had described, and that its quality is not sufficient for my collection.

The vehicle recently arrived from Chicago. The engine and the transmission work well.

The paint is not in good condition. Furthermore, the hood has a larger dent, and the trunk lid has several small dents. In addition, parts of the bodywork are rusty.

The leather interior needs to be refurbished, the leather has cracks and the side bolster of the driver’s seat is torn. The tyres are old, which becomes evident through a rumbling noise when driving.

On the other hand, the mileage is remarkably low, and the colour combination is rare and beautiful.

The vehicle is offered privately in its current condition, in need of refurbishment. The taxes are paid, the vehicle has no valid technical inspection and it is sold under the exclusion of any kind of liability for material defects. Any warranty, guarantee or returns are explicitly excluded.

This vehicle can be viewed and picked up in Wiesbaden, Germany.

This is a used vehicle. It is highly advisable to view the vehicle before bidding, to avoid disappointment afterwards. To arrange a viewing appointment or for more info, please contact Catawiki. Offers are excluding transport and export, unless otherwise indicated.
